I am delighted to welcome you to the new Web Portal of Imo State Polytechnic, Umuagwo. Over the years, Imo State Polytechnic has gone through unprecedented challenges. Today, as I welcome you to browse through our Web Portal, I am pleased to let you know Imo State Polytechnic has now been re-invented.

We exist to raise leaders for the future workforce demands of Imo State and our growing national economy. This is a noble purpose and we have accepted the challenge to make this purpose real. Economic development is increasingly linked to a nation’s ability to acquire and apply technical and socio-economic knowledge. Comparative advantages come less and less from abundant natural resources or cheaper labour, and more and more from technical innovations and the competitive use of knowledge. In today’s world of rapid acceleration in the rhythm of creation and dissemination of knowledge though the use of technology, we have become increasingly aware of the need for transformational leadership particularly in the area of higher education. We believe that this is of strategic importance to the overall development of our beloved country. This strong believe is our drive as we strive to transform Imo State Polytechnic.

Our Mission is to become the best Polytechnic in West Africa. We value our students and will do everything in our power to support them through their academic journey in the Polytechnic. We will provide an adequate environment for learning while also providing necessary infrastructure and technology to enhance the quality of this learning experience.

This site is work in progress and is an interface to a wide range of information systems and web applications currently being developed by our ICT team. Please browse through our site and feel free send us your comments and suggestions on how we can continually improve and re-invent ourselves for the benefit of our students, community, state and country.
